My name is Thomas Gray, I'm a current baseball player at St Joseph's University in Patchogue and assistant coach for the Eastern A's JV team. I am a catcher/1st baseman. Before college, I graduated from North Babylon High School in 2020, winning the Varsity Rookie of the Year from my school as well as being ranked as a top 10 uncommitted catcher in NYS by Perfect Game. Over that summer I won Baseball Factory All Region team award. Also being selected for the mid-Atlantic team (Baseball Factory).
I was formerly at the College of Mount Saint Vincent (CMSV) where I played for two years. Over my years of playing baseball, I managed to play in the Perfect Game scout league (High school), Under Armor scout league (High school), Boys of Summer Perfect Game College baseball league, and this past summer the ACBL (Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League).
Note: With startup of college season, time will be limited.

The Cage is now offering Softball Pitching Lessons.
Hello, I'm Angie Oquendo. I am a colligated college athlete for Mercy College. I am a Junior pitcher for Mercy Women's Softball. I have been playing softball for 11 years. I graduated from Longwood High School and played Longwood varsity softball. I was a member of the 2018 team that won the Suffolk County Championship. I also was a part of the 2019 Suffolk County runner-up. I played travel Chiefs select and Sudden Impact Gold. In 2017 my travel team were runners-up in the USSSA World series tournament. This 2022 softball season with Mercy, I am a relief pitcher and started a couple of games. Now my team and I are going to the ECC conference playoff.
My experience as a pitching coach has been teaching girls pitching for three years. As I focus on mechanics, spins, and speed, I also focus on the mental side of the game.

"This was only our sons second lesson and we are both blown away! He’s 7 1/2 and has been playing LYSA and TOB 8u for a year and is starting 9u this fall and we wanted him to have a good foundation and edge. Then came Coach Joe......HE is AMAZING... it’s not just the level of skill he teaches BUT that he shows, explains, encourages with each step, throw, swing and stance. I stumbled upon him through google and truly found my BEST GOOGLE find ever !!! I initially thought the 10 package lesson and done but now I can’t image him not being part of our sons baseball years to come. Thank you for coaching from the heart."

"My 11 yr. old was struggling with striking out almost every game so I scheduled a lesson with Coach Joe who came highly recommended. Within 5 minutes Joe identified what my son was doing wrong. He then instructed my son as to how to fix the problem and TAUGHT him to evaluate his own swing each time. My11 yearoldwent 3 for 3 in very next game. He now has more confidence because he has more knowledge as to what he should do. Coach Joe also did not just "end" the lesson when the time was up but rather kept instructing until he saw improvement. He genuinely wants tohelp the kids get better! Thank you Coach Joe!"
"Coach Pat has amazing coaching qualities. He not only has the knowledge of baseball which enables him to teach, but also the ability to inspire. He sets a fantastic example of what a coach should be."
